Brian J. Farney
After graduating
from the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Business Administration
and Economics and a J.D. from its Law School followed by service
in the U.S. Marine Corps, he became a founder and principal
shareholder in a major regional law firm during the ensuing
8 years. Throughout this period of time Mr. Farney acted as
the firms managing partner while advising both public
and private companies in their business affairs including
issues dealing with employment and labor law. After relinquishing
his interest in his law firm, he acquired and managed business
interests in a variety of industries, including manufacturing,
fishing, and radio/communications. Mr. Farney acquired the
infrastructure assets of INSERVE Corporation in 1997 and has
since overseen its development as CEO. His extensive knowledge
of employment related issues from both a legal perspective
and from the practical hands-on perspective of an experienced
business owner has created a strong and credible foundation
for the evolution of the services provided by INSERVE. His
leadership in developing a highly skilled professional staff
that enthusiastically addresses client human resources issues
in a practical "business friendly" yet cost effective
manner has propelled dynamic yet stable growth. As a result,
INSERVE has been identified by the Puget Sound business Journal
as one of the "100 Fastest Growing Private Companies"
in the State of Washington during each of the past five years.
In addition to serving on the Boards of Director of several companies, Mr. Farney has served the community in a variety of capacities including as the chair of the municipal Planning and Zoning Commission, chair of a Governors task force on developing international marketing opportunities for the fishing industry, church elder, leadership of municipal arts organizations, and a regular contributing newspaper columnist.
